Taryn was part of a team of 13 students reporting on refugee stories in Mae Sot, a town along the Thai–Myanmar border. There, she reported from Mae La camp — the largest of nine refugee camps — on the final day of USAID support. The refugees’ food and healthcare crisis was published on South China Morning Post in August and later published in The Straits Times as a photo spread.
